Free PC software for playing back your footage.

With digital DVR's it is very easy to connect to a local area network, or the Internet, so that PCs on the network can access live and recorded images directly from the DVR itself.

When you subscribe to one of our systems we will give you access to our FREE PC software downloads to enable you to do this.

There are three methods of viewing playback images from the DVR365. Two are software we will give you access to with the unit and the other is by using the internet.

They are:
remote monitoring software
Free PC Software

           Self-installed Client Software
           Stand-alone PC playback software
           View Pictures using Internet Explorer.

Self Installed Client Software.

This free software package supplied with the unit, should be installed on every PC that you wish to use with the DVR365. Once installed, simply ensure the “IP” address of the DVR is correctly set up in the software. The software is then configured with a user name and password so that only authorised users can access the DVR and control it according to their status - “admin”, “user” or “guest”.

This software client has numerous features for playing back recorded files, downloading files, setting up the DVR remotely and more..

By using this software on a PC, you can “hide” the DVR365 anywhere in the building and only physically access the unit when absolutely necessary. All other features can be carried out from a networked PC.

You can of course have several DVR365 units on a network and connect to any of them from any networked PC. This means, for example, that you could use one DVR for internal cameras and another for externals cameras. This has the major advantage that you can enjoy the DVR365’s unrivalled internal storage of 8 Hard Drives for 8 cameras, ie, one hard drive per camera.

Stand-alone PC playback software.

This special software has been developed so that a video file/clip can be taken from the DVR and put onto a CD or similar so it can then be played back on a stand-alone PC elsewhere.

The video files produced by the DVR are a modified mpeg compression and are specially encrypted so normal mpeg software cannot read or access them. To play the video on a standalone PC, you must have this software. This is the software that would be used to playback video footage in a court or similar environment. Alternatively you may use this software to view your footage at home.

View Pictures using Internet Explorer.

Internet access monitoring


The DVR365 has an excellent feature where you can connect to it using Internet Explorer. You simply enter the IP address of the DVR365 and the two will start to communicate with each other.

Internet Explorer then automatically downloads some program files from the DVR and your PC is set up to monitor live or recorded images directly from the unit. This method of connection is very simple and has other similar features to the self-installed client software.
